“Nature is a part of my lab. The artist needs isolation. Feeling the magnitude of a landscape forces you to think about our limitations, our horizons and goals and our challenges.”

The photographer captures an intense light from this strange, calm and silent island; the dusky sand and the glacier’s remains. Her camera collects the dynamism of a panorama formed by thousands of telluric movements and surroundings eroded by the strength of ice and fire. A view intensely blue thanks to the ice that little by little returns to the ocean lingering for the new turn to be deposited on the glaciers, a deforested environment, a desert alienated by which Mónica Sánchez-Robles guides us, as if the spectator was another character on the setting with the perfect union with nature.
