Statement
From my beginnings as an artist, I began to experiment with shapes and textures, maintaining the color and light as main protagonists. My artistic interests fluctuate between different disciplines; from photography to video, passing through installation and drawing.
Nature, travel and the human being are my laboratory of experimentation.
I am sensitive to climate change because of all the current pollution of ecosystems.
I try to participate in the awareness of the problem through my work. The support on which my work is developed is the perfect pretext to inquire about this and other topics of my interest. Hence, I appeal to the versatility that other installation supports offer (neon, lamps and other design objects) reutilizing, recycling and converting them into works.
But it is a moment of impasse in my life, that makes me decide to embark on an investigation, which will have a profound impact in my work, on how sensations and moods are associated with the artistic practice through light and colour.
This project comes alive from a new and greater experimental perspective. I base my research on a statistical method to build through colors a map of feelings utilizing a conductive path that allows me to metaphorically eliminate the barrier between different disciplines and putting the spectator emotions as the object of the work. In short, to use art as a cathartic element for my own growth and (re) emotional knowledge, to try to transmute my vital journey into a universe of chromatism and light that becomes a generator of sensations for those who contemplate it.
